William Ware, Chair of Deacons
As a member of First Baptist Church of Arlington since 2000, William has served faithfully on the Board of Deacons since 2001 and was installed as Laity Preacher in 2020.
William is deeply committed to building bridges between the church and the wider community, especially through organizing support for local service organizations. He serves on the Board of Directors of Massachusetts Baptist Multicultural Ministries, where his work reflects a passion for advocacy, public service, and connection across cultures and generations. He brings decades of spiritual leadership, community engagement, and professional expertise to his roles at First Baptist.
With a professional background in sales and contract implementation, William offers strong skills in relationship‑building, negotiation, and operational oversight—gifts he brings to his work as Chair of Deacons and Lay Preacher to ensure effective ministry support.
Outside of ministry and work, William enjoys sports, traveling, and music. His life reflects a steadfast commitment to service, inclusion, and the transformative power of faith in action.
